Is it a trend? Should I take this as some sort of a sign? Two weeks ago, I was in San Francisco, where I spied this lovely residential window display. Clearly someone is obsessed. And talented – check out the macrame!

Ever seen an owl in a palm tree? Me neither, until this week. I was scouting locations at the JW Marriott in Phoenix (a gorgeous property – really) and there, in the palm trees, were not one but two owls. Apparently a whole family of them live here. Go figure.
