I gotta say, I love Constantin Boym’s miniatures. Loved the Buildings of Disaster. Loved the miniature High Line (available at Printed Matter, whose site is down as I write this). And now, my man has done it again. His latest miniature is this “Blue White House,” made in an edition of 1,000 (all signed and numbered) for $95. Each is hand-cast in bright blue resin, measures 4″ x 3″ x 1.5″ and reads “The Obama White House.”

When the WWD alert came through yesterday I thought I was hallucinating but it seems it is true. Racked is reporting that Alexander McQueen will design a collection for Target, that will hit stores next spring.
The following pictures and description were posted on Racked today:
McQ Alexander McQueen for Target will feature lightweight sweaters, skinny jeans, bubble dresses, slim skirts and cuffed shorts. Signature pieces include a coated cotton poplin black trench, a rock ’n’ roll gray denim cropped studded jacket, a men’s wear-inspired tuxedo blazer and a color-blocked one-shoulder dress with bubble hem. The collection also will include swimwear and cotton voile print scarves.
I’m just thankful that this will be available online so I can order away and avoid the inevitable craziness that will surround the CDG launch at H&M next week.
