I’ve been testing these out – as I usually use plastic forms instead – and find them actually easier to use, less hard on the leather, and they have a nice light lavender scent which I am imagining also helps absorb odors.

They make a version for handbags, too. I haven’t used that one yet.

There are two types of stores that never cease to amaze me in terms of how bad they are:

1. stores in hotels, especially high end allegedly sophisticated resorts

2. museum stores (with the exception of MoMa).

Today I was at the Guggenheim to check out the Kandinsky-Kapoor combo currently on view and saw the above lamp. Which, at $55, is pretty damn cute, and beautiful when lit. The rest of the store is skip-able, except maybe the snowglobe.

This is David’s Shrigley’s newest piece, called Brass Tooth, for Cereal Art. Available in an edition of 80 for $1,200. Each will be packaged in a wooden box with a hand drawn lid by David and will have a signed certificate.

About the artist:
David Shrigley lives and works in Glasgow and has exhibited widely in the UK and around the world. He is represented in New York by the Anton Kern Gallery.
