It’s the first Aman spa not at an Aman resort. 5,400 square feet (not huge but respectable for a city spa). And gorgeous. Sorry I don’t have more pics than these right now.

When things kind of suck, as they have the past year, and I get sick of not spending money – I get to that breaking point where I just need to get SOMETHING that I won’t feel guilty about – I go one of two ways: 1. lipstick/lip gloss or 2. jewelry. The problem with #2 is that my taste is more TENTHOUSANDTHINGS (so NOT for a girl on a budget) than the stuff sold on the street. So when I came upon Rebel Designs at a couple holiday gift marts I was pretty psyched. They have some cool things (earrings especially), all priced under $100. You have to edit, for sure, but you can find good things. A couple are below:

I just realized that’s a stupid thing to say without showing a comparison item. Let’s just say it is 20 ounces, about the size of a water bottle. Yet it has enough detergent for 50 loads of laundry. It’s the latest from Method, a company that, in the interests of full disclosure, I have history with.That doesn’t mean I automatically love everything they make. When this bottle showed up I was totally skeptical. I’ve used other “green” concentrated detergents only to be disappointed.

Four squirts for a normal load, 6 for a large load. And guess what? It looks like nothing but soaps up beautifully and, after having done 2 loads, I gotta say, it works. No more big jugs!
