Everyone seems to agree that February has basically sucked ass. If you agree and are looking for a way to escape your life, if only for a couple hours, then IMMEDIATELY go to celebrityautobiography.com and buy tickets for a show I guarantee will make you (almost) wet your pants.
Real live actors – last night they included Matthew Broderick, Donna Murphy, Richard Kind, Dayle Reyfel and Tony Roberts – read from the autobiographies of celebrities. We were entertained last night by the often ricidulous words
of “authors” Star Jones, Joan Lunden Neil Sedaka, Loni Anderson, Burt Reynolds, Burt Reynold’s assistant and, one of my favorites of the evening, Matthew Broderick reading from David Cassidy’s memoirs. That David Cassidy is one sick dude.
I won’t ruin it for you. But I’ll go again if anyone wants to. Tickets are $35 and $45, there’s a two drink minimum (cash only – something nobody tells you – and a really loud/bad waiter if you choose the $35 seats), and the show is only on Monday nights until March 24.
